CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of trust between individuals and organizations, ensuring that personal and business information is protected from unauthorized disclosure. At KBH Training Academy, we prioritize the confidentiality of any information you provide to us through our site. This commitment means that any data you share, which is not already publicly available, is safeguarded following our Privacy Policy. We assure you that your confidential information will not be shared with third parties, including for marketing purposes, without your explicit consent. Disclosure of your information will only occur if it is essential for delivering our services or if legally mandated. This policy underscores our dedication to maintaining your privacy and trust.

VARIATION

This statement highlights the importance of staying informed about any updates to the terms and conditions of a website. Terms and conditions are the rules and guidelines that govern the use of a site, and they can be modified by the site owners to reflect new policies, legal requirements, or changes in the service. By using the site, users agree to be bound by these terms, including any updates. Therefore, it is crucial for users to periodically review the terms and conditions to ensure they are aware of any changes that might affect their rights and responsibilities. This proactive approach helps avoid any potential misunderstandings or disputes that could arise from unawareness of the updated terms.

USER RIGHTS OF ACCESS

The user rights of access outlined by KBH Training Academy establish clear guidelines and restrictions regarding the use of their website and its content. Users are granted temporary and non-exclusive access, allowing them to utilize the site within the outlined terms. However, the Academy retains the right to alter or withdraw site content and terms without prior notice, absolving themselves of any legal obligations to users. Importantly, users are prohibited from copying, modifying, or distributing any part of the site for any purpose. Additionally, commercial exploitation or third-party sharing of site material, including purchased digital products, is strictly forbidden. Users are responsible for configuring their devices to access site content and are advised to use virus protection, as the Academy does not guarantee compatibility or offer protection against potential digital threats.

This passage outlines the terms of an Acceptable Use Policy for a website. It emphasizes that while the site is regularly updated, there is no obligation to ensure all content is current or accurate, and users should be aware that relying on such content is at their own risk. Additionally, the site assures users that it does not store credit card details or share personal information with third parties, adhering strictly to its Privacy Policy. By using the site, users agree to these terms and are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any data they provide.

This statement outlines the limitations of liability and responsibility that a company or website has toward its users. It explicitly mentions that while the accuracy of the site's content is not guaranteed, it will not limit or exclude liability in cases of death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter where liability cannot be legally limited. However, it specifies that the company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit, goodwill, savings, or contracts. Additionally, the statement indicates that all implied terms, warranties, or promises are excluded to the extent that the law allows. This is a common approach to managing legal risks and clarifies the extent of responsibility a service provider has over its content and user experiences.

COMPUTER OFFENCES

The Computer Misuse Act 1990 is a critical piece of legislation designed to protect computer systems and data from unauthorized access and malicious activities. Under this law, actions such as introducing viruses, worms, Trojans, or any other harmful software are criminal offences. Engaging in such activities not only jeopardizes the integrity of digital systems but also violates legal boundaries, resulting in immediate termination of access to the affected site. Furthermore, any attempt to gain unauthorized access to servers, or databases, or to launch attacks on a website is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities. This act emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity and the responsibility of users to engage in ethical online behavior, ensuring a safe and secure digital environment for everyone.

Online Courses CompletionOur online courses are designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience within a strict 12-week timeframe from the date of purchase. It is essential to adhere to this schedule, as no exceptions or refunds will be provided once the course expires. Extensions are only available if requested before the expiration date, and any late requests will incur full course fees, excluding the kit cost. Throughout your study, you'll have access to a training manual and coursework, which will be removed post-expiration. We encourage you to take thorough notes to aid your learning. Case studies are integral, demonstrating the practical application of concepts, and all work submitted must be entirely your own. Any submissions of work that aren't original will lead to the revocation of your training and a ban on future course purchases, with notifications sent to other providers and insurers. If given a chance to resubmit, you must identify yourself in your video submission. This policy ensures the integrity and value of our training programs.

Covid-19 and other pandemics

When considering enrolling in a training course during a pandemic, it's crucial to ensure you can complete it within the designated timeframe, typically three months. This includes fulfilling all course requirements, such as practical assignments on live models. Keep in mind that by enrolling, you accept the responsibility to finish within the set period, as no free extensions or refunds are available. If you anticipate needing more time, you can purchase an extension through the course provider's website, but this must be arranged before your course's expiration date. Requests made after this deadline will be treated as new enrollments, necessitating payment of the full course fee, minus the cost of any previously acquired kit. Planning and managing your time effectively will help you complete the course successfully within the allotted period.

In-person courses

When enrolling in our course, you will receive a call or message to schedule your practical assessment, which must be completed within one month of purchase. Please be aware that any booking fees are non-refundable if you cancel, fail to attend, or change dates. Should you cancel your course after full payment, a 50% refund is available only if you notify us at least 7 days before your assessment; otherwise, no refund will be issued. No refunds are given for no-shows or late cancellations. Date changes require a 7-day notice, with a fee of £50 for shorter notices. Ensure your theoretical coursework is submitted at least 3 days before training, or you risk forfeiting your payment without a refund. You must bring a suitable model for the practical assignment. If your model cancels, the same terms apply. If you need us to provide a model, there is a £50 charge, requiring at least 2 weeks’ notice. We do not discriminate by gender or ethnicity, so you must accept any model provided. The £50 fee is non-refundable if you cancel or decide to bring your model, and if you refuse the model we supply, the fee remains non-refundable.

Special Offers

This policy outlines the conditions under which you can return a training kit purchased as part of an online course. If you decide within five days that you no longer need the kit, you can return it, provided it remains in its original, unopened, and undamaged packaging. The refund for the kit will be calculated based on the course price at the time of your request. If the course was purchased at a discounted price and is now more expensive, the refund will be the kit price minus the current course price. Conversely, if the course was bought at full price and is now discounted, the original payment will be used to determine the refund. This ensures that refunds are fair and consistent with the current course pricing.

International Students

Our training courses, accredited by the CPD Group, are designed to provide you with top-notch education and skills, accessible from anywhere in the world. However, as regulations vary globally, students need to verify with local authorities whether our qualifications meet the requirements to practice the treatment in their country or state. Please be aware that we do not offer refunds once a training has been purchased, even if local regulations prevent the use of our qualification. We encourage prospective students to thoroughly research their region's requirements to ensure our training aligns with their professional goals.

Training Academies

This notice outlines the terms and conditions associated with purchasing our courses. By proceeding with a purchase, you agree to refrain from offering the course yourself for a period of six months. This restriction is designed to safeguard our proprietary course materials and ensure that you have adequate practice in the treatment you will eventually teach. If you or your associates offer the course within this restricted timeframe, it will constitute a breach of our agreement. Consequently, we reserve the right to pursue legal action, and your qualification will be revoked immediately. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining the integrity of our educational offerings.

Delivery

Please be aware that your course kit may take up to 3 weeks to arrive. If you've ordered a machine or appliance and decide to cancel, a 10% fee will be deducted from the total price. In cases where the item has already been shipped, you will be responsible for the return postage costs, which are non-refundable. Once your items are dispatched, it's your responsibility to track the delivery. We typically use Royal Mail, DHL, or Hermes for shipping, so we cannot control deliveries once they are in transit. If a delivery attempt is missed and the package is returned to us, you will need to pay for postage again. We can provide tracking information upon request. For all other items, processing takes 1 working day, with delivery expected within 1-2 working days.

Machines & Devices

When purchasing machines or appliances from overseas, buyers need to be aware of their responsibilities regarding duties and taxes, as well as the warranty conditions. The main body of a machine comes with a six-month warranty, while handles have a three-month warranty if purchased alongside a training course otherwise 30-day warranty applies. Devices have a three-month warranty, but no refunds or replacements are available after this period. Manmade issues, cosmetic damage, or any use after reporting a fault void the warranty. Buyers must inspect their purchase within three working days of receipt and report any issues immediately, providing the necessary evidence. If a repair is agreed upon, return postage is the buyer's responsibility, and the item must be returned within five working days. Machines will be checked and repaired by the manufacturer, which may take 2-4 weeks, but neither KBH Training nor the manufacturer is liable for any income loss during this period. If the machine cannot be repaired, a replacement will be provided, but refunds are not an option.

Cancellations & Returns (machines, devices, appliances)

If you need to cancel an order for a machine or appliance, be aware that there will be a 10% deduction from the total price, as well as a duty fee. Additionally, if the item has already been shipped to you, you will be responsible for covering the return postal charge, which will not be refunded. Similarly, if you need to return, repair, or replace a machine, you must pay for the postage. It's important to consider these potential costs when making your purchase decision.

Pictures

When participating in a case study, it's important to understand that the images or information you provide might be shared on social media platforms. By accepting the terms and conditions, you are granting permission for your pictures to be used in this manner. This means that the organization conducting the case study has the right to share your images to highlight results, successes, or insights gained from the study. It's always a good idea to carefully review the terms and ask any questions you might have before agreeing, to ensure you are comfortable with how your data will be used and shared.

International Delivery

When considering enrolling in a course or purchasing goods from KBH Training Academy, students must verify the import requirements specific to their state or country. The responsibility lies with the student to ensure that the qualifications, machines, items, or products are permissible in their region before proceeding with the purchase. KBH Training Academy does not offer refunds for courses or items that are prohibited. If goods are returned to us by border authorities, a refund will be issued minus the postage costs upon receipt of the returned items. However, if goods are seized and destroyed, no refund will be provided. It is important to conduct thorough checks on all requirements to avoid any potential issues, as all purchases are made at the buyer's own risk.

Insurance

It is crucial to understand the importance of securing your insurance when enrolling in any of our courses. As a training provider, we at KBH are committed to delivering quality education and skill development but do not offer insurance services. To ensure you receive the necessary coverage for your professional journey, we strongly recommend that you contact insurance providers before booking any of our courses. This proactive step will help you avoid any inconveniences or challenges in obtaining insurance after completing a course. Please note, KBH will not be liable if you are unable to secure insurance upon course completion. Ensuring your insurance coverage is ultimately your responsibility, and we advise you to address this matter promptly.
